Photo Oxford 2020, Gloucester Green, Oxford, 2020
OB1 LIVE students were invited by the Photo Oxford 2020 Festival to design and install an exhibition celebrating the life and work of pioneer photographer Sarah Angelina Acland (1849-1930). In collaboration with the History of Science Museum, a selection of Acland photographs were chosen for inclusion in the exhibition. Students took contemporary photographs of Oxford inspired by the themes in Acland’s work. In response to COVID-19 restrictions, the exhibition was designed and installed as a night time projection of Acland’s works interspersed with the students’ Oxford photographs. The exhibition was shown over two nights, projected onto the facade of The Old Fire Station in Gloucester Green, Oxford.
